THROUGHOUT 2018 and continuing into 2019 Berrys have experienced a flurry of activity, with enquiries particularly strong in the South Northamptonshire area.

On behalf of Clayson Country Homes, Berrys are appointed to let a new retail development on Whittons Lane situated in the heart of Towcester town centre. The scheme provides a mixture of six retail and two restaurant/cafe units from 562 square feet to 1,633 square feet, all of which are self-contained with glazed frontages. The design of the development is in keeping with the town centre and surrounding period buildings.

Since completion of the speculative development at the end of last year we have welcomed Warrens Bakery and LAB Hair into the scheme with a further unit now under offer. Despite the current economic climate and the particularly difficult retail sector, we have experienced a good level of enquiries for the remaining units from the local and wider regional market and envisage that the current residential growth in the area will continue to attract operators.

Towcester has also undergone continued growth in the industrial sector over the past 12 months with the recent development of Axis 43 on the Old Tiffield Road which forms part of the Tove Valley Business Park. The site has been acquired by an established Northampton firm who sought to occupy part of the site and create investment from the remaining parts. Berrys have successfully pre-let 5,000 square feet to a national trade counter operator and we expect occupation in Spring 2019 with the remaining 5,000 square feet available to lease. This speculative development is much needed in the area with limited supply of high quality, modern industrial/warehousing accommodation below 50,000 square feet.
