WHITTLEBURY Hall Conference, Training Centre and Hotel is an award-winning four star hotel, conference and training centre, located in rural Northamptonshire, adjacent to Silverstone Racing Circuit, with a broad offering of products and services.
With 254 rooms including five individual suites; purpose-built event and learning facilities, including 20 conference and training suites and 28 syndicate rooms. We are an independent small-medium sized business within the hospitality industry and service sector, with over 320 employees.
At Whittlebury Hall, employees are given the opportunity to undertake any training necessary to enable them to excel in their positions. This also includes if staff would like to change careers altogether, which is exactly what Sam Buckland did.
Sam has been with Whittlebury Hall since 2001 where she started with the Food and Beverage team for a year, then moved into The Leisure Club where she stayed for four years before she went on maternity leave. When she returned, she went back to working with the food and beverage team for another year.
Sam saw an internal advert for a Spa Therapist position offering full training and decided she wanted a change in career. She had always wanted to do beauty therapy but thought the career was out of her reach.
Whittlebury Hall gave her the opportunity to do her training and move across to the spa with an easy transition. Sam is now fully qualified in Swedish massage, facials and Jennifer Young, which is a specially formulated product designed specifically for cancer patients. She also went on to do her ESPA Essentials training and a manicure and pedicure course.
