A Desborough-based asbestos removal and biohazard cleaning company has secured ISO 9001 certification, adding an internationally recognised quality management standard to its existing industry accreditations.
Specialist Remediation Solutions, known as SRS, said the ISO 9001 certification provides independent verification that its quality management systems meet internationally recognised requirements.
The standard focuses on areas including process management, customer care, leadership and continual improvement. It also requires businesses to maintain clear systems and assess operational risks and opportunities.
Operations director Elena Paunete said: “We are dedicated to delivering an excellent service for our clients and it was important to us to seek to achieve this global standard to show our ongoing commitment to quality, consistency and continuous improvement.
“The ISO 9001 standard gives us a framework to review our efforts against going forwards too. The recognition is a great boost for our staff and good reassurance for our customers and partners that we are hitting this well-respected benchmark.”
SRS operates from Station Road in Desborough and provides asbestos removal, biohazard cleaning, house clearance and commercial cleaning services. Its website also lists the business as an HSE-licensed asbestos contractor and SMAS-approved contractor.
The company is also listed by the Asbestos & Environmental Safety Association as a Desborough-based specialist in licensed asbestos removal.
Alongside the ISO 9001 certification, SRS has renewed its SMAS Worksafe accreditation, which is used by contractors and suppliers to demonstrate compliance with core health and safety requirements.
Elena added: “Here at SRS, safety is our upmost priority and the SMAS proves this to other contractors and to our clients.
