Acorn Analytical Services has promoted its first female directors, marking a milestone for the Northamptonshire-based asbestos consultancy as it strengthens its leadership team.
Sian Stone and Viviana Pista have been appointed as associate directors, reflecting their roles in the company’s growth and operations. The move comes as Acorn Analytical Services continues to expand its services across the region.
Sian has worked at Acorn Analytical Services for more than 13 years, progressing through roles including business manager and head of commercial. During that time, she took on responsibility for sales during the Covid period and now leads the company’s commercial strategy.
In her new role, Sian will focus on profitability and long-term planning, while supporting the development of the sales team. She said the promotion reflects years of work and commitment. She said: “This was not something that happened overnight. I feel proud of the work I’ve put in, and I want to show that hard work really does pay off.”
Viviana joined Acorn Analytical Services three and a half years ago and has worked across operations, including HR and fleet management. She has also led sustainability initiatives, such as installing electric vehicle chargers and solar panels, and improving travel efficiency across the business.
These changes contributed to Acorn Analytical Services winning gold in the sustainability category at the 2025 Northamptonshire SME Awards. In addition, Viviana has supported improvements to recruitment, training and employee benefits.
In her new position, Viviana will continue to support operations while taking on a wider role focused on team development and performance. She said: “This is a significant milestone for me and a new challenge that I welcome. A big part of my role will be making sure the team feels supported and able to grow.”
Sam Savage, managing director at Acorn Analytical Services, said the appointments recognise long-term contributions to the business. He said: “Sian and Viviana have both made exceptional contributions over the years. Their appointments strengthen our leadership team and support the next phase of growth.”
The appointments reflect a shift in Acorn Analytical Services’ leadership structure, as the business continues to invest in its people and long-term development across Northamptonshire.
