Rushden Lakes will host a recruitment event later this month, with more than 40 job roles available across retail, hospitality and the public sector.

The free event, Recruit Rushden Lakes, takes place on Tuesday 14 April from 10am to 1pm at Leisure Terrace Level 1, opposite Cineworld. Visitors will be able to speak directly with employers and explore current vacancies.

Brands including River Island, Lago Lounge, The Entertainer and Nando’s are expected to attend, alongside organisations such as Northants Police, Fire and Rescue, and North Northamptonshire Council. As a result, the event will bring together a broad mix of local employers in one place.

In addition, support will be available from the Department for Work and Pensions, National Careers Service and Tresham College. Attendees can access CV advice, interview guidance and information on training opportunities.

Donna French, centre manager at Rushden Lakes, said the event continues to deliver tangible results for the local jobs market. She said: “Since launching, the event has helped more than 600 people secure roles. It’s about connecting local employers with candidates and providing practical support to help people take the next step.”

The recruitment event is now in its ninth year and has become a regular fixture in the Northamptonshire employment calendar. Therefore, organisers expect strong interest from both job seekers and businesses.

While the list of attending brands may change, organisers say the focus remains on creating accessible opportunities for local people. The event is free to attend and open to anyone looking for work or considering a career change.
