3RS IT Solutions secures ISO certifications as it targets third industry standard

3RS IT Solutions has achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification as the Kettering-based managed IT provider continues to invest in recognised industry standards and prepares to pursue a third accreditation later this year.

The certifications, awarded this month, recognise the company’s quality management and information security management systems. 3RS IT Solutions expects to achieve ISO 20000 – the international standard for IT service management – in August, completing a trio of internationally recognised standards that underpin the delivery of managed IT services.

Steve Souch, managing director of 3RS IT Solutions, said the accreditations reflected a long-term commitment to improving the business rather than simply meeting compliance requirements.

“Achieving ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 is a huge milestone for us as a business. It’s something we’ve been working towards for a long time because we wanted our customers to know that when they choose 3RS IT Solutions, they’re choosing a company that takes quality, consistency and information security seriously.

“As we’ve grown, it was important that our internal processes grew with us. ISO 9001 is the international standard for quality management systems, helping organisations improve consistency and customer satisfaction. ISO 27001 provides a framework for managing information security risks and protecting business data, while ISO 20000 sets the benchmark for IT service management.

Although each standard can be achieved independently, together they demonstrate that an organisation has established recognised processes covering quality, information security and the delivery of IT services.
