Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity is encouraging runners to take part in this year’s Amazing Northampton Run as it marks 50 years of supporting people across Northamptonshire.
The charity is inviting supporters to sign up for the September event and raise funds to help continue its work, with participants able to choose from the half marathon, half marathon relay or three-mile fun run.
Katie Fouracre, community and events fundraiser lead at Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity, said: “The Amazing Northampton Run is such a brilliant community event, giving runners different options in which to take part and choosing a route that really showcases Northampton, taking in our fabulous local landmarks.
“We are hoping that some of the runners will consider running for us here at Cynthia Spencer as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. It’s a brilliant milestone moment and a fantastic reason to get involved, we’d love to add your achievement to our celebrations.”
The Amazing Northampton Run starts and finishes in Northampton’s Market Square, with the half marathon taking runners past some of the town’s best-known sporting venues, parks and the University of Northampton campus.
All finishers receive a medal, while entrants raising money for a registered charity benefit from a reduced entry fee.
