ORGANISERS looking for somewhere different to celebrate the festive season often book at The Bombay Palace, one of Northampton’s longest-standing Indian restaurants.

The firm Kingsthorpe favourite has an impressive reputation for its food and has the space to host larger groups looking to celebrate in the run up to Christmas and the New Year.

Only the best quality ingredients make the grade at the restaurant with favourites like the mild creamy Korma to Madras and Vindaloo.

The experienced chefs can conjure up a wealth of specials to tempt the tastebuds. Nihari Jhinga, promises a real taste of India with wholetail king prawns cooked with onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and fresh coriander served with the chef’s special spinach rice. Customers who follow a vegetarian diet are spoilt for choice, including Chilli Paneer which is a stir fry of Indian cheese, peppers, onions and green chillies or maybe opt for a main course from the healthy options like Vegetable Susto or Vegetable Lazeez, a combination of potato, cauliflower and chick peas cooked with special spices.

The Christmas menu of five courses priced at £24.90 per person or £14.90 for under 12s includes a free bottle of sparkling Cava for tables of four or more. Main course choices are roast turkey, Kurzi lamb steak, Vegetable Bahaar or Murgh Mossalah, a chicken for two people cooked in special spices with keema sauce.
