GROUPS large and small can make planning the Christmas ‘do’ easy by simply making a reservation at Imli Lounge and letting the restaurant’s staff and its talented chefs do the rest.
With space for up to 80 diners, Imli Lounge on Kingsley Park Terrace is big enough for most office parties, and has a menu that’s wide and varied enough to suit all tastes.
Saf Choudhury, owner of Imli Lounge, is inviting party organisers to find out more about the options available at the restaurant, whether it’s for a big group, or just a table for five or six.
“We’re always busy in the run-up to Christmas, so making a reservation is essential and booking early ensures the organisers don’t have any last minute hassle,” said Saf.
“There isn’t a specific festive menu, but are always happy to accommodate groups who want to have a night out and enjoy our specials and traditional favourites. We can put together bespoke drinks and dining menus for those who want them, otherwise our Wednesday banquet night is ideal for large groups as it’s excellent value for money and so is the perfect opportunity to try something new.
“Or, of course, they can just book any evening they choose and select their food from the regular menu.”
Bookings can be made via the Imli Lounge website www.imli-lounge.co.uk or by calling the restaurant.
The banquet night allows diners to enjoy a starter, main course, side dish between two and naan bread or rice for the fixed price of £10.95 per person (with a £3 charge for duck, king prawn or venison dishes).
“Many people tend to stick with what they know they like, but a banquet night is a good chance to be a bit more daring because it’s value for money and you can get dishes to share. There are plenty of English alternatives on the menu, like steak and scampi, so there’s something for everyone.”
The set price means that it’s easy to work out in advance what it’s going to cost, and everyone just chooses what they want on the night, so there’s really hardly any preparation for the organiser.
On Christmas Day itself, Imli Lounge has a menu that has something for everyone. There’s a selection of Indian dishes to appeal to all tastes, including korma and korai, as well as the traditional roast turkey and all the trimmings, sirloin steak chasseur or roast chicken.
A starter and dessert are included in the price, £28.95 per person (children’s meals are half price).
Saf Choudhury, said: “We make sure that we cater for the whole family – Indian dishes for those who want them, and more traditional Christmas Dinner for those who prefer to stick with the turkey and trimmings.”
Imli Lounge also serves a Sunday all-you-can-eat buffet from noon to 5pm at £8.95 per person.
Reservations, with a £10 deposit per person and menu choices must be made for Christmas Day.
