A Rushden family business has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Northamptonshire Business Awards, following a year of expansion that has seen its workforce grow to more than 400 employees.

Inter County Service Group has been named a finalist in both the High Growth Business of the Year and Employer of the Year categories in the awards, organised by Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce.

The dual recognition follows a year in which the commercial cleaning company acquired Clean4Shaw Facilities Management, increasing its workforce by almost 57% while retaining 147 jobs. The acquisition also expanded its customer base by around 200 clients as the business continued to win new contracts across the region.

Alongside its commercial growth, the company has continued to invest in employee training and development. More than 400 people are now employed by the business, with 55 members of staff having worked there for more than 20 years.

The latest shortlisting follows further recognition earlier this year when Inter County Service Group was named Family Business of the Year and overall winner at the Northamptonshire SME Business Awards.

The winners of the Northamptonshire Business Awards will be announced at a ceremony at Sywell Aerodrome on 11 September.
