A free business incubation programme in Northampton is inviting applications from aspiring entrepreneurs with just three weeks left to apply.

Vulcan Creatives, run from Vulcan Works in the town centre, offers six months of support to help residents turn an idea into a viable business. Ten participants will join the third cohort when the programme begins in October.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • Free coworking space at Vulcan Works

  • One-to-one support from business growth manager Darren Smith

  • Masterclasses and business support events

  • Peer mentoring from previous Vulcan Creatives graduates

To date, 20 entrepreneurs have completed the programme, with several now running successful ventures. One Kind Creative founder Olivia Krawczyk, a graduate from the first cohort, went on to win the StartUp For Good Award at the Midlands StartUp Awards earlier this year.

Darren Smith, business growth manager at Vulcan Works, said: “The programme has gathered real momentum with the success of past participants. It is a privilege to help people take those first steps and we are excited to see the ideas the next group will bring forward.”

Applications close on Friday 12 September. Candidates must be Northamptonshire residents aged 18 or over and able to commit at least two days per week to the programme.
