Cynthia Spencer Hospice is expanding its golf days programme for 2026, adding a third event as it prepares to mark its 50th anniversary and increase charity fundraising across Northamptonshire.
The charity raised £35,500 from two events last year. As a result, it is introducing a summer fixture alongside its established spring and autumn golf days.
This year’s schedule includes:
- Spring Golf Day at Staverton Park Golf Club on 7 May
- Summer Golf Day at Collingtree Park Golf Club on 9 July
- Annual Golf Day at Northampton Golf Club on 17 September
The September event will remain the flagship, offering a full day of competition and hospitality for a larger number of teams. Meanwhile, the spring and summer events will provide a shorter format for businesses seeking a more time-efficient experience.
Entry costs £440 per fourball. This includes a breakfast roll and hot drink on arrival, on-course refreshments, and an evening meal followed by a presentation and raffle.
Nina Gandy, corporate partnerships fundraiser lead at Cynthia Spencer Hospice, said the events are designed to be inclusive while strengthening business engagement with the charity.
“Whether you’re a regular golfer or someone who hasn’t picked up a club in a while, you’ll receive a warm welcome,” said Nina.
“Our golf days offer the perfect blend of friendly competition, networking, and the chance to reconnect with familiar faces – as well as meet new ones.
“Each event also offers a range of sponsorship opportunities, giving businesses the chance to support specialist hospice care while raising their profile.”
The expansion reflects growing demand from local companies for corporate fundraising events that combine networking with social impact. It also aligns with the hospice’s wider anniversary plans, as it looks to build on five decades of care in the region.
Furthermore, the addition of a summer event creates more opportunities for businesses to engage throughout the year. This staggered approach allows companies to choose formats that suit their schedules while maintaining consistent support for hospice services.
The hospice hopes the broadened calendar will not only increase participation but also deepen long-term partnerships with the local business community.
