Voluntary and non-profit groups in Northampton are being invited to promote their work for free on NLive Radio’s community noticeboard.
The initiative, sponsored by Northampton Town Council, gives groups a 30-second on-air message played several times a day for six weeks. Messages can be self-recorded or read by one of the station’s volunteers.
Keith Holland-Delamere, chair of Northampton Town Council’s Community Services Committee, said the partnership offered “a fantastic platform for community and voluntary groups to shout about the great work they are doing in the town”.
NLive Radio has previously worked with the council on events including Oak Apple Day, when it broadcast live to mark the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of Northampton.
Station manager Rebecca Steers said: “We love doing what we can to promote local groups who are doing great work in our town, and we are grateful for the town council’s support which means we are able to provide these free messages.”
NLive Radio broadcasts on 106.9FM across Northampton, online at nliveradio.com, via its app, and on smart speakers.
Community groups can register to feature on the NLive Radio Community Noticeboard at nliveradio.com/noticeboard.
