The University of Northampton is continuing its drive to support business growth across the county with a new series of events under its Fuelling Innovation campaign.
Launched earlier this year alongside the Northamptonshire Innovation Ecosystem report, the initiative is designed to connect businesses with expertise, funding opportunities, and collaborative networks.
In September, the campaign went on the road with a barista coffee van, bringing conversations on innovation directly to the business community. Stops included the Northants Chamber of Commerce Business Expo, Corby Enterprise Centre, and Silverstone Park for the Northamptonshire Manufacturing Forum and the launch of Made Smarter Northants.
This autumn, the programme features a new line-up of events in partnership with the British Business Bank, Innovate UK Business Growth, the Federation of Small Businesses, TC Group and others. Highlights include:
-
Market Research Resources: Practical Workshop – 6 October, Discover Room, Northampton Central Library (partner: FSB)
-
Business Finance Week – Angel Investing in Northamptonshire – 7 October, Waterside Campus (partner: British Business Bank)
-
Innovation Tax Reliefs & Commercial Property: What You Need to Know – 9 October, online (partner: TC Group)
-
Introduction to Intellectual Property for Business – 13 October, online (partner: Business & IP Centre Northamptonshire)
The campaign also includes a podcast series featuring local business leaders sharing their experiences of adopting new technologies, sustainable practices, and securing investment.
