WE all go through hardship at times but through it all, we still manage to provide food and household items for our families. Unfortunately, not everyone can do this which is very sad. It hurts to the point that we know people close to us who are unable to provide for their children.
I have been fortunate enough to know about ways of supporting friends that go through this period in their life, the food bank.
Food banks that we find all over our county do a fantastic job of supporting them all through the year.
I started my yearly food collections of food and household items some years ago and it has been a success as I have received so much support from friends, clients and families.
So, this year, to help raise more money and create more awareness for the food bank, I would be taking the very first challenge of my life, running 10k on 17 November 2018.
It is a big challenge for me because I have only just started training for my 10k race. I am honoured to be going on this run as I am hoping that the money I raise through this challenge will be a lot and that simply means more food and household items for my local food bank at Christmas and in January.
If you would like to support this cause you can visit my Just Giving page and kindly support me by sponsoring me or donate food and household items to add to our trolley of foods.
I know that these donations will go a long way to support families in the county that are going through difficult times.
