IN June 2017, Mosaic Board Printers contacted Kettering Training Services to begin the recruitment process for a Business Admin Apprentice.
A constant investment into new technology and machinery, which in itself had seen a major increase in sales, created the need for another member of staff.
With Mosaic’s commitment to giving young people the opportunity to gain qualifications and experience in the workplace and with the long-standing partnership with Kettering Training Services (formally Kettering Borough Training) the process began to find the next apprenticeship success story.
On 21 August 2017, Charlie-Mae Taylor started her working career with Mosaic Board Printers under the supervision of Tim Holding and was soon enrolled onto an apprenticeship scheme for Business Administration.
For the next 15 months Charlie-Mae worked very hard at all aspects of her training and at the job roles she had taken on. Through constant changes of the customer base and the methods of productive workflow she has been instrumental and key to its success.
Being supported by all of her colleagues at Mosaic Board Printers and Kettering Training Services with her apprenticeship, which was completed in November 2018, she has now become a valued full-time employee of Mosaic Board Printers and a genuine example of how the apprenticeship scheme can work for both companies and those leaving full-time education looking for a career.
