GRAPHIC designer Olivia Krawczyk, who launched her business to help purpose-driven organisations bring their ideas to life, is among the winners at the 2025 Midlands StartUp Awards.

Olivia, founder of OneKind Creative, took home the StartUp for Good award, a category that celebrates businesses making a positive impact.

Winners were chosen from hundreds of businesses across the Midlands region. OneKind Creative was the only business from Northamptonshire to take home an award.

OneKind Creative, which is based in Daventry, specialises in helping purpose-led organisations tell their story through strategic design. Olivia, 23, has been working with clients ranging from charities tackling taboo topics such as menstrual hygiene education to social enterprises looking to grow their impact,

“Winning this award means the world,” she said. “I started OneKind Creative because I truly believe in the power of design to make a difference.

“It is about so much more than just making things look nice. Design can create real change and start important conversations.

“As someone from a small town who did not follow a traditional path after school, it’s amazing to be recognised on such a big stage.”

The UK StartUp Awards, which celebrate entrepreneurial talent across the country, saw over 750 businesses shortlisted this year. Olivia’s win places her among a national cohort of stand-out entrepreneurs, all of whom will now go on to represent their region at the national UK StartUp Awards final at Ideas Fest in September.

Awards founder Professor Dylan Jones-Evans said: Across the UK, a new generation of entrepreneurs is quietly reshaping our economy one idea, one venture, one leap of faith at a time. That is why we created the StartUp Awards, to recognise the people building something from nothing and turning ambition into impact.”

Olivia is keen to use her platform to make the design industry more accessible and sustainable, exploring how eco-conscious practices can be embedded into communication design.

“I hope this inspires other young people and shows that you do not have to follow the traditional path,” she said. “I never went to university. Instead I spent time solo travelling and working with organisations to build my portfolio.

“It is a lot of work and you have to create your own opportunities bt it is so worth putting the effort in to build something that is truly yours.”
