LAW firm Hewitsons has donated a bumper haul of food and other essentials to a Northampton charity helping those in need across the borough.
Partners, solicitors and non-legal staff collected six large boxes full of canned goods, toiletries and other items at the firm’s office in Billing Road.
The Harvest collection has now been given to Re:store Northampton, which provides food and other goods, as well as longer term emotional and practical support, for people in crisis.
Virginia Henley, an Associate in Hewitsons’ Charities and Education team, said: “We are delighted to be helping Re:store Northampton, which does such fantastic work. There are so many people in Northampton who need help. We hope our donations will have a positive impact and help many families and individuals this year.”
Re:store Northampton funding manager Alex Turtle added: “Thank you to the staff at Hewitsons for their generous donations. The demand for food parcels continues to be high and we rely on the support of local businesses and individuals to maintain our stocks. The donated items will be distributed to those in Northampton most in need.”
