WITH the party season behind us, and the cold, dull days of January and February ahead, we all need something to rid us of the winter blues – and Kettering Park Hotel and Spa has the ideal solution.
A range of events is lined up – including party nights, tribute acts and special celebrations – so that there’s no excuse to hide away until the spring arrives.
To open, and in case your seasonal stash is getting depleted, there’s a chocolate demonstration lunch on 17 January. Lunch At The Park costs £15.95 for a two-course lunch, starting at noon and including a chocolate demonstration by Matt Green, the owner of Explore Choc based in Finedon
There are also two special events on 25 January. A Burns Night supper with traditional food and entertainment to celebrate the life of Scottish poet Robert Burns costs £35 per person or £79.95 per person including accommodation and breakfast, while a Wine Tasting Dinner provides a fun and informative evening as a guest speaker guides diners through the wines that are paired with the five courses. Tickets are £45 per person, or £85 including accommodation and breakfast.
In February, the hotel will be staging a Jazz Weekend, from 8 to 10 February. Guests will be able to enjoy the sounds of a live jazz group over the whole weekend, at a cost of £250 per person for the weekend. This includes dinner, bed and breakfast and Sunday lunch. Evening tickets for just the performance and dinner are available at a cost of £35 per person.
Janice Ashton, Head of Sales at the hotel, said: “February will also see Valentine’s celebrations, Abba and Michael Buble tribute acts and our Wedding Showcase, so there really is something for everyone.
“Throughout the year we have a programme of events ranging from gin tasting to murder mystery nights, so we’re hoping people will find something they like among the many options on offer.”
