A TEAM of runners from Midshires Electrical in Northampton are set to embark on a run around Stanwick Lake in the name of charity.
All staff are from Northampton, fundraising for vital funds for the Cransley Hospice.
The run, at Stanwick Lakes, is an event organised by Rockingham Forest Trust, the same organisation that manages the 750-acre Stanwick Lakes nature reserve.
The group’s members, who are aged as young as 20, chose the charity as it is close to the heart of company director Ben Fountain.
The runners have raised £440 so far towards the £1,100 target and they expect local suppliers and valued customers will help beat this target.
The majority of the runners are doing such an event for the first time because they know how vital these funds are to the charity.
George Fountain said: “None of us have does this size of run before in one go, on occasion some of us run at the gym, but that’s all.”
The runners are: Ben Fountain, George Fountain, Jake Fountain, Craig Rose, Colin Retty, Mark Dezeskly, Ernesta Spathos, Joe Frost, Dave Everett, Darren Cope, Richard Slinn, Dennis Lane, Ben Allen, Emily Welch, Declan Keary, Gary Christie, Danielle Peters, Kevin Banks, Mark Stockman, Aran Fountain, Jamie Jackson.
