Prime town centre site

A PRIME site in Northampton town centre has been acquired by Hadland Chartered Surveyors on behalf of a client who is now looking to let the entertainment venue that forms part of the ground floor. Abbey Ross represented the vendors.

The part-let investment, is located on the corner of Gold Street and Drapery, with fashion retailer Circus the anchor tenant. The adjoining 6,000 square foot section was formerly a nightclub and would be ideal for a similar use, restaurant or supermaket.

One of the factors that attracted the new owners was the proximity of national restaurant chains such as Prezzo and Nando’s, and the expected increase in footfall in that area of town when the new university campus is occupied.

Elsewhere, Hadlands have have agreed a new lease of Scrivens Barn in Castle Ashby. The high quality barn conversion forming part of the Castle Ashby Estate has recently been let at the full asking rent on a 3 year term.
