Brackmills Industrial Estate in Northampton has strengthened its leadership with the appointment of two new board directors.

Gemma Osbourne from igus UK and Keith Dorrill from Wickes were elected at the estate’s Annual General Meeting, held at FESTO on Caswell Road. More than 50 business leaders attended the meeting, which reviewed the estate’s progress and future plans.

Brackmills has operated as a Business Improvement District (BID) since 2009, with businesses pooling a levy to fund projects that directly benefit the estate.

Charlotte Patrick, vice chair of Brackmills BID, said: “Businesses on Brackmills truly support each other and there is an unrivalled sense of community. We’re delighted to welcome two new directors who will help us build on the estate’s achievements.”

Chair Jon Morgan added: “The appointment brings fresh expertise and perspectives to the board. They will play a vital role in shaping the estate’s strategic direction and representing the diverse business community.”

The AGM also highlighted Brackmills’ recent recognition at the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards, where it was a finalist in the Health, Safety and Wellbeing category for initiatives including targeted police patrols, personal security alarms, and anti-spiking tools. The BID also continues to invest in advanced CCTV and crime prevention measures.

Alongside safety improvements, Brackmills runs wellbeing and community initiatives. Recent activities include an estate-wide litter pick for World Clean Up Day, new charity partnerships with five local causes, and an awards scheme celebrating outstanding employees across the estate.
