Wilson Browne Solicitors has won Private Client Team of the Year (Midlands and Wales) at the Modern Law Private Client Awards 2026, with further recognition for one of its lawyers and its specialist Court of Protection team.
The Northamptonshire law firm collected the regional team award at a ceremony held at Coombe Abbey in Coventry on 1 July, having been shortlisted in three categories.
Shakira Khan was also Highly Commended in the Private Client Lawyer of the Year category, placing her among the leading private client lawyers recognised nationally. Meanwhile, the firm’s Court of Protection team was named as a finalist in the Court of Protection Team of the Year category.
The Modern Law Private Client Awards recognise excellence across private client law, including wills, trusts, estate planning, probate and Court of Protection work.
Tom Warrender, partner and co-head of commercial property at Wilson Browne Solicitors, said: “We are delighted that our Private Client Team has been recognised with this award. Congratulations also to Shakira Khan on being Highly Commended and to our Court of Protection team for reaching the finals. These achievements reflect the hard work, dedication and commitment shown by colleagues across the firm in supporting our clients every day.”
The awards attracted entries from firms across England and Wales, with Wilson Browne competing against other specialist practices in the Midlands and beyond.
The latest recognition follows the firm’s earlier shortlisting in three categories and marks a successful evening for one of Northamptonshire’s largest legal practices.
