A Brackley-based charity supporting people’s mental and physical wellbeing has received almost £8,000 from NFU Mutual’s national Agency Giving Fund.

The insurer’s Brackley agency nominated Space 2 Talk to receive a £7,899 donation as part of NFU Mutual’s £2.33 million fund designed to help frontline charities across the UK.

Now in its sixth year, the fund forms part of the insurer’s £4 million national pledge to support local and national charities improving life in rural communities.

The donation will enable Space 2 Talk to train more volunteer walk leaders and purchase essential equipment to expand its wellbeing walks. It will also help fund a part-time administrator to support the growing number of people seeking help through the charity’s activities.

Pete Spink, co-founder and trustee at Space 2 Talk, said: “We’re so grateful to NFU Mutual Brackley for nominating our charity. This generous donation will help us buy more equipment and train new walk leaders, so we can welcome even more people into our walks. The need in our community is growing, and we want to make sure everyone has the chance to feel supported.”

Nikki Blackwell, agent and partner at NFU Mutual Brackley, added: “We are extremely proud to have nominated Space 2 Talk for this donation. The charity makes a vital contribution to our community, and we’re delighted to help them continue their important work supporting wellbeing and connection.”

Space 2 Talk offers wellbeing walks and activities that encourage people to talk openly about mental health in a safe, supportive environment.
