WHETHER you go for traditional or something a little bit different at Christmas, you want it to be an experience to remember with good food, good fun and good service.

At the award-winning restaurant The Exotic Dining in Kettering the emphasis is on welcoming and treating visitors not as customers, but as special guests and then giving them exquisite food combined with impeccable presentation and ambiance.

The kitchen team pride themselves on producing sophisticated and intricate dishes that can best be described as nouvelle cuisine of Indian and Fusion.

If you’re looking for something a little different for a starter, there’s crab and avocado salad with light spices, or maybe cinnamon chilli fish (sea bass marinated with Dijon mustard and lemon juice and served with tamarind sauce).

The traditional Indian main courses are all there on the menu, but for something new there’s plenty to choose from, including Summer Island King Prawns (with caramelised onions and sweet chilli salsa), Goan tawe ki bathak (Barbary duck with aniseed, tamarind, garlic and hot and sour spices) and goat kali mirchi (marinated in garlic, ginger, black pepper, cream and hot spices and then roasted to perfection).

But the real difference comes in the options that show the restaurant is really living up to its name, offering an exotic range of steaks – including bison, kangaroo, camel, reindeer, shark and wagyu beef – all prepared with the flavours and spices for which the restaurant is renowned.

The Exotic Dining is perfect for small, intimate groups of friends or family and, with its private function space and ample parking nearby, is also ideal for larger parties, from office Christmas parties to family celebrations, weddings and corporate events. Bookings are now being taken for the Exotic Christmas Day Lunch is £34.95 per person.

Also, co-owners Esa and Kabir have recently announced that, due to demand from customers, The Exotic Dining is now offering a Sunday Buffet from noon to 3pm and 5.30pm to 10pm, where they ‘won’t stop you eating’.

The restaurant was named Spice Restaurant of the Year at the Carlsberg UK Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards in 2014-15 and 2017-18 and has been incorporated in the Waitrose Good Food Guide for three years running. The Exotic Dining has also been awarded a Gold Award For Healthy Eating by the local authority and holds a 5-Star Hygiene rating. Vegan and special dietary needs can be catered for.

The Exotic Dining is on the first floor of 2-5 Newland Street, Kettering, and is open 5.30pm to 11pm Sunday to Thursday or 5.30pm to 11.59pm Friday and Saturday and for lunch every day from midday to 2.30pm. For more information or to book call 01536 411176 or visit www.dineexotic.co.uk
