North Northamptonshire’s growth strategy to...

BUSINESS leaders are set to join a forum to hear and discuss the new Economic Growth Strategy for North Northamptonshire.

Senior officials from the area’s council will present the strategy at a special session during the Northamptonshire Business Exhibition, hosted by Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce at Wicksteed Park on March 6.

The session, taking place from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm, will highlight the council’s plans to drive economic development, support businesses, and create opportunities across North Northamptonshire.

Delegates will:

Gain first-hand knowledge about the council’s vision for economic growth in North Northamptonshire. Understand how the strategy will impact businesses, investment and local development. Ask questions and share your views directly with representatives from North Northamptonshire Council. Network with fellow business owners, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders.

Admission is free and the event is open to all businesses.

“The session with North Northamptonshire Council presenting the Economic Growth Strategy will provide valuable insights to the future for economic growth in the north of the county,” said Simon Cox, head of policy at Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce.

“So many people say they do not often hear of various strategies and consultations that are in the public domain and this session with North Northamptonshire Council will help to provide valuable insights.”

The council’s leader Jason Smithers added: “One of our key ambitions - mirrored through our Big 50 aspirations for the area - is to make North Northamptonshire a more prosperous place. So creating a blueprint for future economic growth is essential if we are to cultivate the conditions that will benefit our residents and businesses.

“Engaging with our businesses and stakeholders is pivotal if we are going to forge our way forward to help deliver what is right for our area and this event is an integral component of that process.”
